HERE IS HOW THE UNITY SAND CEREMONY WORKS: Included are the three nesting glass vases. Prior to the wedding pre-fill the two outside vases with the sand - white for the Bride and black for the Groom. This set features the bride's initial on one outer vase, the groom's initial on the other outer vase, and their monogram on the center vase. You will also receive one pound each of scenic deep black sand and scenic white sand to use in your ceremony (please call us if you are interested in other colors). 1. The Groom will commence by pouring a portion of the black sand into the central glass vase. 2. The Bride will follow by pouring a portion of the white sand also into the central vase creating a layered effect. 3. To complete the ceremony, the Groom and the Bride simultaneously pour the balance of their sand into the central vase. To make this process a little easier, create a funnel using decorative paper. Personalize the funnel by including the names, date or even poetry that holds a special meaning for the Bride and Groom. (The central vase can be engraved with the Bride and Groom's monogram). The co-mingling of the colored sand represents the joining of the Bride and Groom. Consult with your wedding officiate in order to customize the readings and sentiments that will accompany this ceremony. 4. Following the wedding, the two outside vases can be used to display fresh flowers while the central vase will remain a cherished keepsake of your wedding day. Rush orders will ship directly from the engraver within 5-7 business days, from Canada. Please allow shipping time via the method of your choice as well as the above production time. UPS does require an extra day or two from Canada, regardless of method chosen. Regular orders require 3-4 weeks for delivery. If your date is close, we highly recommend the rush option, since Canadian Customs often delays packages by one or more days. Please note that these vases are hand-blown glass and imperfections/small bubbles in the glass are normal and to be expected. Your set will arrive with your three letter monogram in script or block font.
